In Which Kala Is *Ahem* Petulant...
Have you ever had one of those moments in your fic that you thought was brilliant, which much planned ahead, and a handful of people either misunderstand it or down-right scorn it even though they have no idea where it's headed?
No, no, it's no one here and present, but it seems that the reveal to the Richana, subtle as it is and will be built on more heavily in the next few chapters, has made several people vocal with their displeasure. And that just hurts. I'd like to think that all of you have come far enough with us to trust us just a little. I'm going to blow a secret here and say that it's essential to the plot and everyone knows we explain our reasoning eventually, but it's already being ranted about. Have you ever know me not to have a reason for doing something? Grrrrr... Reminds me of how some people got about the Richana when it first started. And look how that's caught on....
*throws brickbats in irriation*
Why do I feel like a crabby, spoiled six-year-old who can't be understood? *sigh*

As I said on chat, just ignore it. We love you and trust you, and there are always complainers, even about the brilliant things.
Complaints and negative comments are hard to take... but better that than the deafening silence of no readers, eh? *hugs again*

I think it was really just that one guy that was being nitpicky and grumbly about the reveal. And what a tacky first post for the Planet. >_< I only didn't say anything, hoping he would catch on that you can't act like that, and of course realizing he would be reading my fic, too, eventually.
I also don't think Vanna meant anything negative with her comments. Like she said, she didn't realize all the aspects of the situation, mainly because she's read so many fics. And really, going this long, you do tend to forget who knows what in what fic. Heck, I'm guilty of that in my own story! O_O
Anyway, you know I trust your judgment on the reveal there. I actually thought it made perfect sense to do it there, when it became clear that Lois and Supes had that strong connection. How could they have *not* seen it? :p
*hugs again*
Just keep writing, and the detractors will be forced to shut up. ^_^

People just haven't seen the bigger picture yet. And when they do, they'll shut up. Or they'll continue to rant and mock because they're jealous that they didn't come up with it in the first place. *hugs*

If YOU feel happy with your story than that's it. You're the author, they're just readers. If they don't like it *shrugs* they can just stop reading. Complaining about how they want the plot or ship changed is stupid and pointless.
Yeah, irritating reviewers annoy me, however could you tell? ;)

First off he is obviously not a fan because he hasn't read your summer challenge story - so please just ignore evil anonymous man - he doesn't even have an account!!!!11111
Anyways I hope my stupidity is forgiven . . *winks*

I think that a lot of readers out there truly fail to grasp the level of effort required to truly present an engaging, well-written epic, and are too quick to criticize anything that doesn't perfectly match their perception of The Ways Things Should Be. That doesn't mean that we're perfect, and that constructive criticism is never warranted. However, my view on that is that such comments should be private and offer suggestions for improvement, rather than just blasting away with hurtful comments.
Your story is a gift that a certain anonymous critic is unworthy of. Don't let it bother you.

I've had weird reviews before - most of them from ff.net. One time some guy got on me and
*hugs* Don't let the Muggles get you down. <--paraphrasing my other fandom there. ;)
