I had a mixture of headdesk, ROFL and WTF, all at the same time. REALLY???????????????? THAT IS THE NEW NIKITA??????????????????? And they call her NIKITA???????????????? ... No, dudes. Call it whatever you like, but don't use the franchise just because you want to sell a product. The idea worked for Luc Besson. The idea almost did not work for Bridget Fonda and the rest. The idea worked on TV in 1997-2001, and it worked well enough to leave the idea there unless it were to be picked up by the same frikkin people, not to do some sort of shiny show! I think Jason and Quinn (the only remaining known operatives) decided to cancel themselves when they saw this. Anyway, I also got confused with the trailer. I thought the "real" Nikita had gone rogue (lemme see....the real Nikita is over 40 now, yeah?) and they recruited someone to replace and kill (yeah, right: we lose the current operation and we bring in a new recruit: very logic: Section 1 is in a freaking crisis!!!!!!!!! and you recruit newbies????? Now the fan part would be in Center and Oversight plotting one against the other and Section 1 in the middle!)
Oh well, I could go ranting all the way here, but you know? It's Saturday, it's 8 am, it's sunny and I have a very eager dog who waaaaaants a very long walk.
Goodness, girl, I still can't believe that trailer.... Obviously, with this information, I agree with you on everything.
