~There's A Place That I Know :: It's Not Pretty There and Few Have Ever Gone...~

 SNOW SNOW SNOW.

We were actually caught in a snowstorm earlier this afternoon just up around Pink Beds on the Parkway.

And it's been snowing outside the hotel all night. I've been downstairs in it three times already.

Did I mention that the foliage is still gorgeous up here... [my laptop keyboard only half-works; note the lack of exclamation and question mark]

Seriously. We can't really get too far on the Parkways, but we still have one more day here and then another in Gatlinburg.

This truly is heaven, Ridge-riding or not.

This is yet another of those week's leading up to a vacation that's draaaaaaaaaaaaaaagging. I think part of it was this with Vix last week [still hurts; we got her ashes back yesterday in a beautiful wooden box. God bless our vet] and the fact that we have an Operations walk this week. There's been no time to slow down and relax at all. Only getting about three or four hours of sleep a night.

Big fat vacation post here later tonight. And do I mean BIG.

Starting into my official third day off of the week and we're off for a two-day trip to Orlando for a little sanity and a LONG-needed trip to see my beloved glitter_my_glam. Much plotty-plotness ahead. ;)

The only downside? No laptop. However, that doesn't mean we won't plan something. saavikam77, januaried, we miss you already!

Here's hoping the trip is a blast!

Annnnd why did I agree to work Friday when I'm off Saturday? After four days on the road non-stop? Because I'm STOOPID, that's why. We got in VERY late Wednesday night and slept most of yesterday. I still have to get everything back in order and catch up to the F-List. We seriously haven't even unpacked yet.

Yep, should have requested today, too.

Because I'm a moron, that's why.

Well, that and we're still writing.

Also, because we're morons.

And I still need a shower.

Next time I'm taking the day before the day before we leave off.

Maybe then we'll manage to get it all done in time.

Well, I have her cold now. YAY! Not. I'll just keep fighting it tooth and nail until we get on the plane. And try for as much sleep as I can.

Today's my last day of work before the trip. Really starting to get excited, but the cold is impeding a little of that. Plan is to leave Jacksonville around 2, make it into Orlando by 4 and before the worst of rush hour starts, check into the hotel, kidnap Alley, get dinner, hang out and watch Smallville, hang out a little more, then crash. We need to be up by 4:30 so we can have everything good to go by 6:30, when we leave for New Mexico.

We have an ereader that's wi-fi capable, so we'll likely update from the road a little. Gotta make sure the cameras are charged up because we plan to take plenty of pics. We're planning to post ATU before we head out, so we're trying to get that to saavikam77  ASAP. Tons of laundry need to be finished by tonight and I still need to pack the last of my stuff.
