*is still getting over the shock* That...didn't turn out quite the way we expected.

Really.

I'm still trying to get over the huge honor that you guys have given us. Really. We've never experienced an awards where we were quite so decorated. I felt like I was holding my breath to just get a few this year. And then you gifted us with so many. I have to pinch myself to believe it. We both feel a little like Cinderella and we love you all SO DAMN MUCH for it.

On the other hand, those we were competing against were the best authors in the fandom this time around. Are there others that surpass us in writing ability? I know so. Hell, the fans wouldn't have nommed them if they weren't. We were extremely lucky to have squeaked in with just the right amount. I want to give highest props to all the authors and the fans that took the time to make all of us feel extraordinarily lucky to be so loved. Every one of you is utterly amazing and we're so blessed to have you in fandom.

A little better today after the emotion-vomit that was yesterday. I'm sorry I just spazzed like that; it's been one hell of a month so far and I guess I had to get it out of my system. Gah. I'm more than a little embarrassed about it, but hey. It's my LJ. I can say what I want, right? I'm just sorry you have to deal with it. *makes face*

Started a video of Margot that a fan requested a little while back. I like it so far, but I really need to get a few more of her films on the comp to really make it extraordinary. Currently trying to track down torrents for Sisters and Quackser. Let's see how that goes.

Noms list is more than halfway done. I'll likely have mine in by the end of the week. Finding a few gems out there that I never knew about. :D

Now off to the House of Happiness. I'm actually glad I only work a few days this week. The sooner vacation gets here, the better.

I'm so sorry it's taken me this long to comment on this, but this week couldn't be more schitzo if it actively tried. As if the sheer amount of noms was crazy, the final ballot entries are just out of control! I'm still amazed at some of the catagories we got nommed for. I'm especially thrilled about Elise and Sebast. :D I sooo wasn't expecting that, but I'm so over the moon for it. I have to make an effort to find a visual for Sebast now since I know the boy's getting love.

But thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for remembering us and also for making the effort to do the nominations. It's not an easy task, doubly so when there are so many brilliant works for the fandom out there. There's some seriously tough competition this year, so I'll be grateful for whatever we get. Congratulations to all that were recognized and Good Luck to all of you. Me, I'll just be happy when the 15th gets here. I always hate the waiting periods. I'll post the banners when they're released as I feel really weird posting all of the nommed titles right now.

Despite a minor incident with a crabby Ops manager yesterday, life during Brian's vacation goes fairly well. Between us, Janet and I got a pallet and a half of freight done out of two and a half. Not too shabby when you consider that Janet's older and can't move as fast (she also only got a couple of hours with it and was being pulled to the register) and they wouldn't stop calling me to register until around 6. All in all, not too bad. I'm hoping that I'll get it all done before I leave tonight.
Anissa and I have recently started watching the TV series Firefly. Part of why I broke down and did it is because there are so many on my F-List that love it so much that, when we had the chance to see it, I couldn't turn it down. We checked out several disks from the library, but ended up buying the DVD set so we could watch them whenever we want. HOW did this show get cancelled? I mean, it was brilliant! And the actors are so engaging! How can you not love this show? I can't even narrow it down to a favorite character, although Anissa's just mad for Inara. I can't believe that it didn't even make a full season! If you haven't see this show, give the DVDs a chance. I don't even like westerns, let alone space westerns, but this just hits the spot. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!
After a fateful visit to Petfinder.com, we may soon be the proud owners of another baby Bagel. Anissa and I have a line on another beagle from the same kill shelter, a male this time. Anissa's been wanting a boy dog for a while and this one looks just like Kallie. Keeping our fingers crossed that we can get him.
Okay, so noms are in and the run-off ballot is up over at Superman Movieverse Awards. I'm shocked and amazed at the sheer amount of nominations that we were set for. I'm really not sure if we deserved all of this love, guys! I mean, 28 noms? Holy crap! I mean, seriously! We're both extremely honored, especially when we look to see our competition this year. Now, everyone go vote and I'll go get my bottle of Tums. Congrats to all the nominees and I look forward to being beaten in every catagory! :D GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!
I found rizny ! She's been on the job hunt and out of the house alot, is all. She's recovering for just getting out of school, so everyone just give her time. Hopefully she'll be back amongst us sometime soon.
Remember when I mentioned a while back that I wanted that Rolling Stone that had Margot on the cover? It's mine now! :D And the interview is beyond awesome. She's just such a hedonist. *LOL* Some of the quotes are just painfully funny. I'm going to see if I can get to a scanner and post it to reeveverse sometime soon.
We're already up over 1,500 words on the next chapter. On a Tuesday. That bodes pretty well for next weekend's entry. I just hope that we can keep this up to par after all those noms for Heirs. *crosses fingers*
I need to get over the Doom Cloud hanging over my head lately. Why do things always have to be so damn dark? *frowns unhappily* Seems like more bad than good in my life the last month. Things have got to look up in the day-to-day.

*deep relieved sigh* I finally got the noms in before work today. I really wish I could have done twice as many as I did, but I'm looking at the fact that I'm running Harmon next week while Brian is gone (totally going to ask the MIL for some Xanax; I'm not going to go crazy this time for not being able to do enough. I'M NOT!), we have the chapter coming up on Saturday, and we're working on two other ideas for fic as we speak with Anissa and

saavikam77 work on a third. I tried to make things pretty fair and only nommed the stories I loved best. I got a few stories in that were outside my normal sphere, but not as many as I wanted to. That said, I picked only the ones I thought were excellent this year. And I think a few people would be surprised by some of my choices! ;) Good luck to all of us this year and know that it's an honor to be a part of this fandom. We have some of the most brilliant fanfic out there! *snuggles you all*
