I'm calling for a better next week, stuck running Customer Service or not. And RL had better shape up, too.

One muse is dead and not speaking to me at the moment [unsurprising, considering the situation], but the other two are trying to cheer me up. Chapter's still on time, though.

How has this week been?

ETA: Nevermind. Work is out for the night. Couldn't tell them the real reason for the call-out, but they wouldn't understand. Panic attacks suck and I'm never 100% right afterwards. Takes several hours for me to get right again and I can't do that at Customer Service. Also, didn't post this for sympathy. People should know that this is a thing that happens and it's real and it's horrible and you really have no control over it. It's especially bad when you work in the service industry. This isn't just a 'suck it up and deal' kinda thing. There's really not much that can control mine and even meds don't always keep it at bay. Just some food for thought.

So. This week. Not been a good one. Not gonna lie.

We're going to end up blowing another deadline. And then I have to make it worse by having to take a week off.

Yeah.

A week.

Anissa and I have discussed it and we're going to hold ATU [which is, again, half-finished because of RL eating up our time] until the following weekend. We're going to be posting in the Porn Battle so we have a chance to reset everything in our heads to their proper positions. It also gives us a week to do some epic planning and such for the things coming up [and there are HUGE things coming up. Things that we're actually scared of handling wrong, hence some of all of the delays on these two main fics lately, OTHER than RL] because we NEED it. We also usually take time off during the PB's for just this reason. Gives up a chance to really open up our creativity full-throttle and consider things that we normally don't as much. Gives you a chance to see some pairings and such with fresh eyes.

Just bear with us a little longer. This is one of the many reasons RL makes me nuts. It interferes with my writing and that I WILL NOT STAND FOR! *epic!Lane Death Glare*

There are some fics that I'll be hiding on another journal until they can be released officially, so avoid spoilers by not reading some of our PB fic until I post them here. My co-author on a certain future project made some requests and we're going to fill the ones we can. Just be warned that there are spoilers, however AU they may be and no matter how little of the actual canon is there. Just be forewarned. ;)

But again, I'm so sorry for the delay and the fact that I've completely blown my rep as Queen of Deadlines.

Also, I will post a link to the PB once it goes live so those who will can join in the fun. As it is, the prompts deadline has closed. As soon as they get the prompts post filtered and polished, I'll post that as well. Who knows? Someone may have already put in some you'd like to see.

Be warned, though, that my younger readers know they have no business over there and I don't approve if you sneak. *wags finger*

Actually, twisted as it sounds, they're usually good days for me. My luck system is entirely backwards. I actually LIKE black cats to cross my path.

Also, as I've been remiss in posting it, but not saying it, happiest birthday to my gorgeous and all-too-wonderous januaried. I looove you, bb, and I hope this year is so damn good that you won't know what hit you. *tacksnuggles*

The updates on the FIL aren't too many and sad, so I'm avoiding it for now. Needless to say, he's going to be back in the hospital for a bit. Now it's just a case of finding the balance in our lives again. I just hope that they can get him some help there that we aren't able to do here. Maybe, just maybe, they'll get him to try to care about himself since we can't get through to him.

In happier news, we're going to go ahead with a projected start date of the 28th with Love and Other Headaches, especially since we have the first chapter going so well. It's not going to be enough to post tomorrow and ATU is next week, so yeah. In two weeks. *keeps fingers crossed that RL doesn't screw that up* I think the opening scene is absolutely adorable and I'm sure Jason REALLY wants to throttle Tim for the awful name he's been saddled with until that moment. Oh, Batclan, how nuts you drive the Supers. XD

YAY! Now off to work!

Why do real life and fandom muses keep screwing each other up?

I just wanna go hide in a hole somewhere and forget the rest of the world exists.

It's just like nothing in either world wants to work right lately.

Nothing can ever be in-sync, not matter how hard I try.

And one of my closest friends at work has a heart attack the first day I'm gone.

Only got the news because I called for my schedule.

On top of everything else going on right now, I'm going back to bed and hoping that maybe I don't send anyone else a visit from the fuck-up fairy. Just bad luck for everyone else this week.

I don't know what the hell I ate or what, but I do NOT like the crushing downer that was yesterday. In fact, I call do-over on almost the whole damn thing. Was kinda like being at the base of a tornado looking up, feeling that small looking up that tube and knowing something is going to come down eventually and flatten you. NOT GOOD AND DO NOT WANT.

Thank God, vacation's next week and I can actually relax. I so have not been good fun recently. This is a thing that should not happen. *pouts*
