Well the web hosting provider I had for nearly seven years changed hands awhile ago - no problem.
But then, more than two weeks ago both my forums started loading REALLY slowly. I complained to tech support because nothing had changed on my end but they said they couldn't find anything wrong. Then the boards stopped loading at all except intermittently and again tech support said there was nothing wrong. But on the user forum, nearly everyone using any sort of programming was having problems. It took tech support more than a week to even admit there was an issue, much less start working on it.
By that time I'd had it. One of my forum members offered temporary hosting on their server to I took them up on the offer to keep the forums going and found a new hosting service to move everything to. (Which I did.) And I swear the difference is like a fog lifting - even my email is acting better. Of course there are still a few teething issues, but there always are.
(Like who the heck put a bad link to one of my pages on Wikipedia? And where is it?)
