So I'll be having a little more quality time in the bed, fighting for freedom from this cold, before posting all of our entries from the Porn Battle. A good selection this year, but less than we wanted. The good news is that we actually got our 12days_of_clois  entry done, too.  It was monstrous to get finished, but I love the final product. Expect work to start back up on Heirs shortly. I hope that we can get things started enough to make it to deadline.

Also, the bunnehs netted us with another potential series in the tradition of In Another Lifetime and So Close. Want a preview?

More fic to come once the PB is over. In the end, we've gotten four pieces written and posted, another that has decided that it will be it's own series at some point, and one more to go. It's been a good weekend for fic writing.

However, it's been a bad one for the cleaning I planned to do. :( May have to see what we can get finished before the end of the day. *crosses fingers* The bedroom and the study TOTALLY need it. I've made a little headway this morning, but there's so much of it to do. It sucks when your stuff is confined to two rooms in the house. *sends the Death Glare to her FIL* Also, we're starting the next chapter later tonight, likely. And I think one of the Super-Secret scenes from Heirs may get trotted out to be worked on the fumes of the PB. God knows it's coming up.

Does anyone *coughcoughbistyboo1974 andxenokattz coughcough* have any idea where I can find a copy of Built For The Sea's version of Baby, It's Cold Outside? I need it to include with my FicGrab at the Planet, but I've been having to listen to it at YouTube because no one has it! Help?

The bad news is that we won't be having a chapter this next week, due to  12days_of_clois being due by Sunday and the fact that we were on vacation this last week with a very over-booked schedule. We didn't even get a chance to work on any side-projects. :( So, yes, we suck. Buuuut that gives us extra time to plot and plan for the next chapter. And I know you guys prefer quality to quantity, so it had to be done. I hate hate doing it, but I don't want the chapter to be rushed and lacking.

The good news is this little guy. Yep, this is the first-ever post-Heirs oneshot and one that is sure to lighten the load for those of you currently reading it. Now I can't promise whether it is canon or AU, but it's sure to put a smile on a few people's faces. Seriously, I really hope you guys like it.

 

Expect a big post here tomorrow once I wake the rest of the way up. Things turned around in a big way on Tuesday, enough so that it make the vacation completely awesome with only a few bumps in the way.  I'm totally out-of-sorts, my internal clock's a mess, I want desperately to be going out on the Ridge this morning when it's a few hundred miles away, and the FIL is already a grumpy bastard.

*rolls eyes* In spite of that, I'm glad to be in my own bed and I need to do a final polish on the 12days_of_clois fic before it goes up later today. I'd sneak in another spoiler, but it would give the game away.

 

One of our friends on LiveJournal requested a fic from the timestamp meme – a look at the main characters of Little Secrets and Heirs to the House of El, and the requested time frame was twenty years before LS. Here’s the resulting fic, a brief glimpse into the lives of Lana Lang, Lois Lane, Richard White, and Clark Kent as they were in their teenage years.
