Busy Lois Is Busy, But Not For Long

I'm starting to forget what having free time is. *headdesk* But the remedy for that is coming up. :D
The Ups and Downs of the Week
The Ups and Downs of the Week
- Things have been weirder than ever at the job this week, especially after one employee just walked out after a meeting with the boss. Tempers have been very short and you can literally feel the heat of anger in the store each day. Then again, that might be because they're not using the A/C, the cheapskates. :P Not a happy place, is my job.
- We went to see Up over the weekend. I've never been so happy that Anissa talked me into going to see something. The movie was a joy from moment one. The beginning just ruined me, though. I wish I had been spoilered because romantic little me cried over and over at times throughout. And I had to convince Anissa that she couldn't take the herd of dogs home. Then we watched Wall-E the next night and I hate that I took so long to see it. The voices of EVE and Wall-E just slay me with the cute. Pixar, please never compromise the quality of your work. Everything you do is love. <3
- Starting to track down another copy of the KCOP edit of Superman: The Movie. I used to have a copy years ago, but it got lost in one of the moves from one room to another, and I've felt the need to get another one just because I miss the deleted scenes. Yes, there is still more lost footage out there, more than we had in the Extended Edition that came out a couple of years ago. Surprisingly enough, there's still footage on both that and SII: DC that still haven't seen the light of day in any edition (although one of them turns me beet-red every time I think of it *blush*). I think I love it as much as I do because of the little details like a scene actually showing the Native Americans living out there near the San Andreas Fault.
- I'm slowly catching up to the F-List, just simply because staying at work after 11 and not sleeping well lately because of the heat and humidity do not a happy Lois make. If I haven't been hanging out as much and haven't replied to your comment or email, it's not that I'm not going to. It's just that I haven't gotten there yet.
- After a bumpy few moments since February's last break to meet Ms. Kidder, Lois is finally going to take a four-day break to go to Orlando and stay at the Hyatt Regency to recharge her batteries from the 13th to the 17th. I have no plans for the trip but to sleep late, rest, and write. The money is going to be tight because of this, but I need the break. I timed it just right, too, since I put in for it just before they announced a huge bridal event on 14th that would have made my nine hour shift likely go on for eleven. On a Sunday. I would have hung myself in the back of Harmon. Period.
- I am so damn excited for everyone to see this week's chapter. This has been literally YEARS in the making and we can't wait to get into the meat of this story now. The excitement over here at KLK headquarters (*LOL*) has been building for months. And we're just getting started. I really hope all of you readers enjoy the ride. I'm also talking to
rizny about putting out the fanmix to this Act out early, before it's over, so you can listen in concert to the writing. Although no liner-notes because I don't want to spoil everyone.
- I'm fighting with the WMM again, trying to see if I can make another video. I can't wait until I can get the new computer and Sony Vega. I so dream of making a video that I can be absolutely happy with. *pokes WMM in irritation*
- I am SOOOOOO sleeping late tomorrow. Period. *makes face*
- I need to catch up on the Clark meme. I just keep being pushed back every time I get caught up.
S.T.M.&SII D.C. extra footage?!?+other stuff
Date: 2009-06-05 05:51 am (UTC)OMG?!? did I just read what I thought I did?? If so, You just made me so very happy :)) I knew there was more to STM than the 2000 release showed, I knew I remembered more scenes. I used to have a tv movie on 2 vhs cassettes that had the whole thing. I have repeatedly kicked myself for loosing that. If you have any more information about this or any thing about SII I would desperately love to hear about it. IV A Quest For Peace also had multiple presentations. I'd love any information I could get about getting copies of the old tv movie or silver screen movies. I am most interested in what ever it is that makes you blush. Please don't be embarrassed. Do tell do tell :) By the way, What does KCOP stand for? Also what does WMM stand for?
I'm sorry to hear work is so crazy for you. At least it has afforded you a wonderful vacation. I'm happy you'll be able to get some much needed R&R :)
As for Heirs, I am also very excited. You are my Smallville replacement now. I look forward to the music and the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Again, Tysovm for any information about old Superman footage and your wonderful story.
Re: S.T.M.&SII D.C. extra footage?!?+other stuff
Date: 2009-06-07 12:48 am (UTC)Oh, 'KCOP' is the station identification for the channel it played on back in '83. And WMM stands for Windows Movie Maker AKA Video Maker From HELL. *kicks it* We have GOT to get Sony Vega.
The embarrassing scene? This is it (http://superman.rossiters.com/s2_392-393.html). It only makes me nuts for the last line. I don't care how out of it you are, you just... GAH! Call him by his real name or even Clark, please. *headdesk*
That I have to admit. I loathe the workday right now, but it is getting us away for a few days. No cooking, no cleaning, no Harmon, no customers. Just me, Anissa, a 4-star hotel room, and a laptop. My muses are screaming already. And that makes me a happy Lois. :D
Aww! I hope we're a worthy enough replacement, then! I'm going to get online with Rizny in just a bit and we'll see how the fanmixes go. *hugs* Thanks so much, Charles!

Date: 2009-06-07 12:52 am (UTC)...does you have any idea how weird it is to have a character snicker in your head? *is worried*

Date: 2009-06-09 05:52 pm (UTC)There are SO many sections of SIV that I really don't like, but all of Chris and Margot's scene together are top-knotch and Chris never gives a bad performance as Superman. Period.
And not pathetic at all, where I'm concerned. I mean, look at him! GAH!

Date: 2009-06-09 09:56 pm (UTC)Lois: (advice to Clark with Lacey) Notice the dress.
Clark: Oh hey, er neat dress.
----
Lois (to Superman) Oh, and this is Lacey.
Superman: Hi. That's a very beautiful dress your wearing.
Chris looks like he has a *lot* of fun with switching between those roles and he's the only actor to date I think who has made it plausible that no one would think Clark and Superman are the same person. This skill is what made me search for more of his acting roles :)

Date: 2009-06-15 04:44 pm (UTC)But Chris really does seem to love the differences between them. Another good example of that is the Superman vs. Clark Kent scene in SIII, one of the only good parts of the whole.
