Couple of Things That Happened In Between My Insane Job...

• Anissa and I finally ate cherimoya for the first time. I can say now with absolute certainty that Lois, in all 'verses involving babies, was a fiend for the stuff. Hell, maybe even with the baby. That stuff is delicious. Tastes just like vanilla custard. The only thing is getting past its appearance. The flesh is creamy white with some black, blue, and pink. No, it's not spoiled. That's just the look of it. And it has a lot of little seeds that you shouldn't eat (they're used for pesticides), so be careful when you try one. They're usually pretty pricey here in the US, but totally worth it. A little piece of heaven. *reminds self to buy more*
• verogeller made me immensely happy with this little fanmix. It's not often that I see anyone do a Reeve-verse playlist, so this totally made my day. And the songs are so spot-on Clois. THANKS, VERO!
• The next fanmix for Heirs will be coming up shortly, due to the fact that soon-to-be-graduate rizny has a little free time now. :D
• On the same note, the next chapter of Drama Central...Oops. ;) I mean, Heirs...is up to 1,500 words. And I think a few readers are in for another surprise. Expect a spoiler in a few days. I want to make sure it's just right. :D
• Three more days until a few days of freedom. I can't wait to get to Orlando. When you're dreaming about folding towels and cleaning up the store, you need a break. Seriously. *fail*
• rizny has also made me a beautiful little manip to go along with next chapter that I totally want to share, but it's a bit of a spoiler. Which is why I'm not going to do the desk top meme right now. All I can say is it involves Kal and Lois.
• Is it Friday night yet? *pouts*

re: Cherimoya-- I was all "whut?!" and then I looked at a picture. it's atis! I looooooooooove atis; Lois is right to crave them. As a child growing up in the Philippines, I ate it as often as possible. Alas, it doesn't export to Canada very well but every time I visit the mother country, it's on top of my list of "Things to Gorge On Because They're Expensive/Yucky/Unavailable in Canada." The others are santol and lansones. Oh God, I want them Right Now pls. *lip wibbles*

Ooooh, they are just heaven. The hilarious thing is that I just saw the Bizarre Foods from Puerto Rico and Zimmeran hates the taste of it. I was all aghast, "What the hell do you mean, you don't like it? Is he serious?"

Oooh, describe the santol and lansones' flavors for me. This is enough to make me want to track them down. Please ignore the drool.

I’m glad you’re heading towards a few days of rest and relaxation. I’ve just come back from my holiday to the States and had a blast. New York and Washington were fun, but have visited them before.

Niagara Falls was spectacular. And you know, apart from the work they’ve done to the Table Rock Complex, it looks exactly the same as it did in SII. Took so many photos of the falls, and the walk along the White Water Walk – again it looks exactly the same as it did 30 years ago when Margo hurled herself into the rapids – it was totally remarkable.

But alas am back in the real world now back a work in miserable winter  Oh I loved the last chapter of Heirs. What a cliffhanger!!!

Did you ever find the hotel? I know I ended up being no help at all. :( And you're so lucky! I think I told you that I've only ever seen the Falls from a plane on the way to Toronto.

Oh, how I miss winter. The weather here is hellicious right now. I loathe humidity.
