I normally do, but this one is so tangled and twisted and star-crossed. And sexy. God help me, it's dead-sexy.

I got about two paragraphs before it let me go last night. Although Anissa says it's a good thing since it reflects back to Heirs a little bit.

Not bad to take a break though, because if it just morphs into a re-hash of a previous story that you wrote, take a break. Fresh is not bad either.

It's not so much a rehash as the fact that I like to show little overlaps in 'verses, a kind-of 'Your choices are two degrees off giving you this possibility'. I think that 'verse is Clark's idea of the ultimate nightmare.

Lol, I so know the feeling- I've had so many bite I've had to break my promise to myself and consent to one new oneshot this month. Hopefully it'll be worth it though- it's turning into an interesting fic.

A lot of it is that Lips of an Angel is so complicated and angsty. But it makes a good parallel to Heirs in the What-If? catagory, so Anissa's encouraged me to poke it if it wants to be poked. We'll see where it goes.
