Cat. Black American Short-hair cat, preferably. Has been my favorite animal since I was a kid. A large size? Jaguar. Why? I'm soooo a cat, deep down. Independant, fussy, moody, over-affectionate at times, prone to bite you when in a bad mood, lives by their own internal time-clock, and perversely determined to win the attention and admiration of the one person in the room that can't stand them.

That and, as much as I love the buggers, an armadillo is SO not the way to go, survival-wise. :D

I so know what you mean about relating to cats. That's why I think they're the best pets as well. We get each other. They want they're alone time and I do to, then sometimes they want to sit on your lap and I like patting them. Unlike my dog which doesn't understand the concept of 'alone'. And actually one of my cats, Ebony, is a black american short hair :P

But one time I did this 'find your spirit animal thing' (I had a New Age phase when I was 14) and I got a badger- which was just random.

I think you and me were separated at birth. :p I pretty much identify with any cat, large or small, though I always loved the cheetah most out of the big cats, and I think the mountain lion best represents my spirit animal (in meditation, anyway).

I used to identify with dophins when I was younger (had a little metal "whale tail" necklace I used to wear all the time) because they were such graceful creatures to me (as I used to want to be a dancer, any animal which had such a sense of grace to their movements was fascinating). Not sure what I would say is my "spirit animal" anymore.
