Calling for Kal-El didn’t even occur to her; the reporter was too furious to think that logically.
I mean is she furious because of the (not so great) conversation she had with him or because of Mercy or is there something else going on in her head?
*sits and ponders*
Oh and (this kinda relates to last week's spoiler) for some reason I'm wanting a (verbal) knockdown-dragout argument (about their feelings about each other) between Kal-El/Lois which ends in a great makeup scene. (Your Lois reminds me a TON of my own mother when it comes to her overall love personality and a scene akin but not as graphic as I'm thinking happened between my parents and it's one of the things that sticks in my mind as being romantic in the "long-term" sort of way). Don't know if I'll get it but it would make sense to me. Only concern about the makeup scene between those two... I'd be concerned about Kal-El not being able to hold back in this one instance. :/
She's too wrapped up in the moment, finally getting to face someone who's connected with Kala's disappearance and getting to do something about it, for her to even think about Kal-El. And she's totally looking forward to retaliating. That's what that's all about.
As to the potential make-up, I can't really say much about where that's going without giving away huge spoilers for the last half of the story. Needless to say, what's going to happen after that fight is going to change a couple of points in LS-Heirs history forever.
That said, it's not all bad. Not even mostly bad, IMHO. ;) Trust me.
I think this is Lois's first chance to do some ass kicking in this story. She really needs it. Also, has Elise's parents noticed her absence yet? I think it was mentioned at one point how long they would be gone, but i don't remember.
It really is her first chance to get a little tension out and it's been a long time coming. Sometimes you just need a more direct approach to make someone see you're not to be trifled with.
And trust me, Elise is trying to do damage-control without her parents knowing what's up. And yeah, they're still out of town. Thankfully for her. :D Don't worry, it'll be addressed.
