kalalanekentOne ~ If comics were like this a little more often and stuff to their own continuity, this would be enough to make me pick them up again. Because this is pure Lois. (Superman 80-page Giant Special) I'm not a fan of sheer fluff at all, but this. This is precious.
Two ~ If you haven't seen this article on Lois Lane's apartment from the first two films, it's worth a look. The second article explains the history of the building. also explains why we need Ella's blackmailing General Sam into helping with Lois' rent when she was younger. Also, it explains why the things been rent-controlled by Bruce since Lois and Clark got married. Yep, it's still suspension of disbelief, but it makes a little more sense now. And don't get any ideas. It's a lot more expensive than you think ($3,000 per month!). Oh, canon, how frustrating you are!

Date: 2010-03-20 06:31 pm (UTC)In Aftermath, my version of the building has a lot less balconies (and Lois's doesn't wrap around the side), the apartment is on the second to top floor, there's room enough for a helicopter to land on the roof, and there's a garage beneath the building. Hooray for fiction! XD
And my gods, that Clois page was adorable. :p

Date: 2010-03-21 01:01 pm (UTC)I pretty much based the original apartment on the one from the film, but renovations have occurred since then. We haven't reworked the building as much as the layout of the apartment itself, which is a little larger now. There is a garage underneath in ours, as well. I actually had blueprints for the apartment at one time, but I think it got lost moving from one comp to another last year. :(
Isn't it? It totally makes me want to do a 'sick Lois' oneshot.
