Really Deep Thoughts

• What the hell is up with Sudden Attack Muscular Issues and Sudden Attack Sinus Issues? It doesn't feel like a cold or virus, but I'm just miserable. It's just weird. Been fighting this for two days now. Not a clue what it is.
• Why is it that I'm finding myself interested in products I can only get in England or Europe? I just keep finding myself drooling over products from Original Source and there's no distributors for it here in the US. Not to mention the smaller department stores brands of cosmetics. Seriously, what's wrong with me? *headdesk*
• Dr. Elliot Marrin is a picky (but brilliant) little muse who talks to us when he feels like it. He's going to cooperate thus far, but I get this feeling that my Lois muse is going to start threatening him shortly. Good thing I have his ex on-tap, huh? The first chapter of Sessions: From the Notes of Dr. Elliot Marrin goes live this Saturday.
• Diane Lane cast as Martha Kent: I adore her as an actress and she's a beautiful woman, buuuut Martha was 20 when they got him? Oh boy... Keeping my fingers crossed. She's more than up to playing the part, no doubt. I'm just a little scared about the closeness of age. Now, to just implant the Rashida bug in his brain.
• Full-steam ahead on Across the Universe. It'll be out on-time next Saturday.
• I desperately want to crawl back into bed and die, but I have to head to work. I just have to make it today and tomorrow.

Personally, I love her, but I think she's too young. I think she can make it believable. Like, I said below, though: I'm already sick of seeing the 'Superman's Hot Mom' comments.

Diane Lane as Martha Kent will be interesting. She's a great actress and I am curious to see how she portrays the roll of mother to eart's greatest superhero.

I think so, too, but I'm already sick of all the 'Superman's Hot Mom' comments I keep seeing. I adore Diane, really; it's just that I REALLY don't want this to be the only thing I see about it.

I agree that she is hot and I also agree that it is getting old seeing how many people are saying that 'Superman's mom is hot.'

The roll of Martha Kent is supposed to be a down to earth style country housewife that is so sweet until you go after her loved ones.

GAH. And see, that was the reaction I didn't like to it. That's my biggest worry: that's all we're going to hear about. I love Diane, but I just don't want to hear about Clark's hot mom. :[

After Henry as Kal-El, and with Diane as Martha, I'm starting to be confident about the future casting choices for this movie. They might be unexpected, but at least theyr're reaching out for real talent. Now, it they can make the glue stick, we've got potential for some true awesomeness.

And am I the only one noticing that there's an actual Lane involved in a Superman project? Methinks the stars were aligned with Krypton on that one.

ETA: About the age issue, if they wanted an actress who could convincingly play a young Martha finding Kal-El's starship as well as a mature one seeing her son off on his first appearance as the Man of Steel, then Diane is a great choice. With the right makeup, anything's possible these days.

Honestly, it truly isn't anything I have against Diane at all. She's great actress and I admire her terribly, it's just wondering if they're going to be able to pull it off realistically. I do, I REALLY hope they do. I WANT to be optimistic about this film. I think I'm still going to be wait and see, though.
