Gutted. Still in pain from the knee and too torn up over all this DC bull. I feel the need to state my feelings in RV format.

SUPERMAN

LOIS
(brave smile)

SUPERMAN
(very hard on him)

(false flipness)
So okay, then. Those people need you. I’d be buying my personal little rainbow at the cost of all those people calling, “Help! Come quick!” You think I don’t understand that? It’s the old eternal triangle, right? Except in my case I’ve got all of humanity in the next room.

SUPERMAN
We’ll see each other. All the time, like before. But it can’t be like…

LOIS kisses him passionately. He responds in spite of himself. They break. She looks up at him, trembling.

LOIS
Just don’t forget, that’s all. Hmmm? Don’t ever forget.

The two embrace for a long moment before we pan as he see Superman’s pained look and move down to Lois, who looks shattered, but tries to keep it in. After a long moment, she closed her eyes and just holds him tighter.

Never. I really never saw the day were they would do this. I expected DC to be above this. True, they may put them back together later, but this was always a part of canon that was endgame. And I just don't trust them to do it these days. I JUST DON'T TRUST THEM.

I just saw it this morning and bawled. I just... I hate any time they reboot it, but this is just tearing me up. I need to stop watching the slow-motion car-wreck. Especially since the DCU fandoms are starting to attack each other. The Diana fans are getting it from us, we're getting it from the Diana fans, and spiraling outward.

Damn you, DC.

It's just not right. Not right at all. It's one thing for them to make it AU, but some of us waited so long for the relationship to happen and now, fifteen years later, they're planning to kill it. And we have no assurances that it'll be back. If they could do that with Scott and Jean and Peter and Mary Jane over at Marvel, what's to stop DC from not getting them back together?

What did I miss now??? I've been plugged in to the Superman homepage but not much else.

Obviously they'd split Lois to be with WW (I can't imagine CLARK of all people being at all ok with cheating on anyone, lease of all Lois) but I think I agree that it is heart-rending and not a happy day for us Cloissers.

Nothing else just yet. They're announcing the titles and the plot summaries now, but they're holding off on Superman for now. But we're all waiting with baited breath. They haven't announced the new one for him or Batman just yet.

And it looks like they're going to wipe out the marriage entirely and have him single as it starts. So it's not technically cheating. Except to all of the Clois fans.
