OMG, Is It Here Already? *Slinks*

So it seems like it's Awards season already. *hides and goes to get the Tums* I'm not going to be promoting this year, due to a little incident on f_s and the fact that I don't want to be accused of having the popularity vote again, but I want all of you to get out there and READ and nom some new writers! I'm going to set aside some time to really look closer at the fic available so I can do even more noms than last year (and yes, I nom every year in nearly every catagory.) 

Let's really try to make things be fandom-wide this year. You love a fic that's amazing, but the author isn't well-known? REC IT! Let us all see. That's the whole point of the awards. To show the writers how much we love their work! And I know from experience just how amazing it is to know that people love and appreciate the hard work you do. I'll never forget the shock and surprise of the first awards season; I couldn't get over the fact that Little Secrets was that well-loved. Let someone else out there feel that awed and amazed. Stand up and make your opinion known.

Now, if you need me, I'll be hiding in the basement with my antacid. *slinks away*

I don't even think I have anything to promote this year, besides my Xmas and V-day fics for 12Days, and a one-shot in my Greatest Gift verse. O_o Damn, I really have been a slacker lately, haven't I?

And now that Aftermath and LS are both officially off the table, it almost feels weird. Except you have Heirs, of course. :p

You've been dabbling in a lot of other fandoms, though, love. The only reason we have so much is because we only stay in Superman.That doesn't make you any kind of slacker. *snugs*

And it is pretty weird, although we still have the oneshots (one of which is Unfamiliar. *LOL*). And, of course, Heirs. But I'm not sure enough has happened in Heirs yet for it to win anything. I dunno. We'll wait and see. As usual, I have no idea what will nommed, if anything. I'll be happy with whatever I get, if anything.

*clings* I think everyone in fandom knows that I HATE Awards season. I'm always happier when it's over and done. Although I'm not going to fret over it this year, if I can help it. *twitch*

True, true. I did finish a prompt table for the Free For All, and have been working on the other 2 I have, and SPN and Trek have been eating my brain. :p

I just went and did my promo post, though, and it turns out I had 8 eligible fics. More than I'd thought, mostly b/c of 2 that were posted last June that I hadn't included last year, and "Endorsement" and "Not Your Father's Plan", which I'd totally blanked on. XD

And hon, you wouldn't believe what a diva I turn into over these things. O_O Behind the scenes I get so ugly, it's so wrong. *huggles you tight and bites nails*

My worst problem is how torn I feel. Part of me wants to win, the other part feels bad because it means that someone else has to lose for me to win. And some people can't handle losing. I always feel like it's a double-edged sword in my case.

That said, it's such an honor to win them. They really do mean a lot to me.

Ohhh, yay! I'm so excited this year- I've written so much and I really hope someone thinks it's good enough for a nomm. I won't be too disappointed if not but it would be so cool if I got one!

Gah! Now I have to make a list too, this is going to be hard....

You really did do a LOT this year! *snugs* I'm just so proud that so many of the Family have starting writing fic more often. And you with your new epic!

I know, lol, I was so shocked when I was making my eligible fics post. I was like 'This can't be right, it's way too long...'. And I'm so nervous about the epic- I'm trying to get into a schedule like you guys but I'm just nervous, oneshots I can do but I'm not sure how a big story is going to go for me.

Hehe, I can't wait to see the ballot! I'm nomming all my fav fics and I really hope this helps some of the lesser-known authors I read get the recognition they deserve!

A lot more people are writing this year and I've been noticing your index getting larger. *is proud*

And don't worry so much about the deadline. Just decide how often you want to post (weekly, bi-weekly, every three, or once a month) and try to stick to it. But be aware that you will occasionally blow a deadline and don't beat yourself up when you do. *snugs*

I can't wait to see either. Although I'm not sure I want to win anything this year. F_S has made me nervous over it. :(

Hi, Charles here.
I may be wrong, and I hope Kala doesn't mind me answering for her, but, The name of the lady in question is Uma Thurman. You might know her from Kill Bill I and II, Pulp fiction, or My Super Ex-girlfriend... Many more. I don't know who she is in Heirs, but I am quite interested to find out :)

Oh, I know you do, but with everyone scrambling to figure out what we're doing next, I thought it was hilarious that it was a non-reader that saw it first and within a few hours of me putting it up.

Because it's the kind of character she is. Too bad I couldn't find a pic with a long braid. (And hush if you know the answer, both you and Charles! *LOL*)
