Wow, I did not see that coming. Not at all. Especially since he's British. But that said, I can see why he was the one chosen. I'm so sad to see Brandon's time in the role end, as I personally loved his performance, but I also see how they're trying to distance themselves from Superman Returns. Again, I think it's stupid and wasteful, but we can't stop them, can we? I can only hope that they play things right this time. Now I just hold my breath until Lois is cast. Oh dear Lord, this is casting I can live with, PLEASE don't let them screw up on Lois.

XD I'm really hoping that they don't crush we fans in the end. I'm just too nervous over all of it too get too invested just yet.

I like Rachel McAdams, but I have a few from a short list that I'm rooting for...as soon as I feel like it would be safe to do so. God, I just don't want them to pick someone entirely incorrect for her or someone that has no chemistry with Cavill. The chemistry is ESSENTIAL!

I know you've already cast your vote, I understand your reasoning about Rashida Jones and I'm not trying to convince you or anything if you're set on your point of view, because I'm not like that at all.

No, no, it's perfectly fine. The main argument I have against Rachel is that people know who she is. The inevitable issue is that she'll be seen as 'Rachel McAdams as Lois Lane' rather than 'Lois Lane'. I think that's the reason that I'd rather have Rashida or an unknown. I really want someone that I'll really identify with as the character without thinking too hard about her other work. And I will admit, a small part of me would really like to see Rashida get the part because she reminds me of Margot.

I will say, though, that Rachel does look the part and she is a really talented actress. I wouldn't be too unhappy if she got the role.
