Wow, I did not see that coming. Not at all. Especially since he's British. But that said, I can see why he was the one chosen. I'm so sad to see Brandon's time in the role end, as I personally loved his performance, but I also see how they're trying to distance themselves from Superman Returns. Again, I think it's stupid and wasteful, but we can't stop them, can we? I can only hope that they play things right this time. Now I just hold my breath until Lois is cast. Oh dear Lord, this is casting I can live with, PLEASE don't let them screw up on Lois.

I am sad Brandon is not going to play the role again, as I thought he was fantastic...*sigh* But I am trying to be optomistic. Maybe he's fantastic and will be THE definitive Superman even outdoing Christopher Reeve himself...but probably not. I hope it's good, I'll still go see it.

I'm hoping for Rachel McAdams as Lois. I really REALLY hope they don't F-up that casting choice. Please get Lois right guys...please!

I just hope that, in the end, he really was the best choice for the role. And no one can outdo Reeve. Period. ;) Brandon, too, will always hold a place in my heart.

*winces* I...don't know that I'm on-board with McAdams. Then again, I'm not sure I approve of any of the American actresses in the running. Having been burned so bad with the last one, I'm looking hard at unknowns and a certain British actress. I'd love for her to be American, but I just haven't seen anyone I approve of.
