A Little Challenge For Ya'll

My playlist for LS grows larger and larger, but that makes me wonder: Has anyone recently heard a song that made you think of Little Secrets? I'm in need a few new selections to refresh the Muse. Or tell me which songs (other than our tried and true ones) make you think of the fandom. With Act Five coming up and two (maybe three) new oneshots coming up, I need more Muse food. Tell me, tell me!

3) Brilliant Disguise - Bruce Springsteen
4) Missing You - Tina Turner
5) That don't Impress me much - Shania Twain (this is more of a Lois Song)
6)Into the Ocean - Blue October - (this is a good Clois song although it's on my Edward & Bella playlist)
If I think of more I'll let you know

Lyrics for Song: Ladies Love Country Boys
Lyrics for Album: Dangerous Man
(This is for all you sophisticated ladies out there)
She grew up in the city in a little subdivision,
Her daddy wore a tie, Momma never fried a chicken,
Ballet, Straight A’s, Most likely to succeed
They bought her a car after graduation
Sent her down south for some higher education
Put her on the fast track to a law degree
Now she’s comin home to visit
holdin the hand
Of a wild-eyed boy
with a farmer’s tan
And shes ridin in the middle of his pickup truck
Blarin Charlie Daniels yellin, “Turn it up!”
They raised her up a lady
but there’s one thing they couldn’t avoid
Ladies love country boys
(You know its true)
Yeah, you know momma’s and daddy’s want better for their daughters
Hope they’ll settle down with a doctor or a lawyer
In their uptown, ball gown, hand-me-down royalty
They never understand
why their princess falls
For some camouflage britches
and a southern boy drawl
Or why she’s ridin in the middle of a pickup truck
Blarin Hank Jr. yellin, “Turn it up!”
They raised her up a lady
but there’s one thing they couldn’t avoid
Ladies love country boys
(oooh, get country with it)
You can train ‘em
You can try to teach ‘em right from wrong
But it’s still gonna turn ‘em on
When they go ridin in the middle of a pickup truck
Blarin Lynyrd Skynyrd yellin, “Turn it up!”
You can raise her up a lady
but there’s one thing you jus can’t avoid
Ladies love country boys
They love us country boys
Ooooooh yeah
It's that country thing you know
Hope this helps.

Date: 2007-07-13 07:03 pm (UTC)So you friended me? HOORAY!!!
Oh...I just downloaded a whole bunch of new music - I'll keep you updated if I find anything that might work for you guys! You of course use www.frostwire.com right? And another awesome program: www.lastfm.com - it streams music based on your preferences...I would say it's a writers best friend...all you do is put in the artist you like and it'll keep playing similar bands - also a great way to find new music.
Another site that is actually probably better than lastfm but I can't use because i'm in Canada is www.pandora.com - I didn't get to use it too much, but what I did see was awesome...they banned my IP address after 3 days *pouts*

Remember all the times that we used to play
You were lost and I would save you
I dont think those feeling will ever fade
You born a part of me
Wont you cure my tragedy
Wont you cure my tragedy
Dont take her smile away from me
Shes broken and Im far away
Wont you cure my tragedy
Wont you cure my tragedy
Then I hope that you can hear me scream
Wont you cure my tragedy
When I sit and think of the days we shared
And the nights you covered before me
Every little thing that I ever did
You would stand by me
Everytime you would cry it would take my wind
My heart would break
If I could be strong like you were for me
You are my faith
Wont you cure my tragedy
Wont you cure my tragedy
Dont take her smile away from me
Shes broken and Im far away
If you made the world a stage for me
Then I hope that you could hear me scream
Can you hear me scream
Can you hear me scream
Wont you cure my tragedy
Wont you cure my tragedy
Dont take her smile away from me
Shes broken and Im far away
If you made the world a stage for me
I cant take this anymore
I cant take this anymore
Wont you take and give her pain to me
Cause my whole life Ive made mistakes

Date: 2007-07-13 01:10 am (UTC)I have seriously considered songfics with that first one. Hmm.
Here's a link to the lyrics for What A Good Boy
http://artists.letssingit.com/barenaked-ladies-lyrics-what-a-good-boy-swxhfzt
And a link to the lyrics for What Sarah Said
http://artists.letssingit.com/death-cab-for-cutie-lyrics-what-sarah-said-lxvvn2m
And the link to Why Say Anything Nice? is a very, very long link for some odd reason, and the site has stupid pop-ups, so I'll save you from them by posting here:
Why'd you put your dress shoes on if you didn't come to dance?
Frankly, I'd be on my own if I thought I'd stand a chance
Why'd you take your glasses off if you don't intend to fight?
Frankly, I'd be on my own if I thought I'd last the night
No screaming or fighting, no scratching or biting
We're just shaking hands goodnight
Sullen and silent, emotionally violent
I waited a while and nothing, nothing
Why say anything nice when you can say nothing at all?
Why say anything nice when you can say nothing at all?
Why'd you put your backpack on if you won't just take a hike?
Frankly, I'd be out the door if you hadn't sold my bike
No fencing or sparring, no bruising or scarring
And no 'au revoiring' yet
No communication, just alienation
I've tried to be patient but nothing, nothing
Why say anything nice when you can say nothing at all?
Why say anything nice?
Say anything nice, a simple device
That makes everything beautiful just ordinary
Nice can come at a price, forever imbued with all this boredom
Sacrifice can only suffice when something is beautiful
After all the resentment, all the discontentment
The flowers you sent meant nothing, nothing
Why say anything nice when you can say nothing at all?
Why say anything nice when you can say nothing at all? (Why say anything nice?...)
You can say nothing at all
Woo-hoo-hoo
Nothing at all
Woo-hoo-hoo
You can say nothing at all
Woo-hoo-hoo
Nothing at all
Hope your muse finds these satisfactory!
